In the Dominican Republic, this tool is regulated by Law 126-02 on electronic commerce, documents, and digital signatures, which describes the digital signature as a numerical value attached to a data message. Using a known mathematical procedure, linked to the initiator’s key and the text of the message, it allows determining that this value has been obtained exclusively with the initiator’s key and the text of the message, and that the original message has not been modified after the transmission.
