What Reports Must I Submit to the Ministry of Labor?
Report of Employment Contracts Registration:
It is important for employers to register the employment contracts of their workers with the Ministry of Labor. This report is often overlooked by some employers but is of vital importance.
This registration verifies that the employment contract meets the requirements established in the Labor Code of the Dominican Republic.
Report of Employee Licenses to Social Security (TSS):
Employee licenses must be reported to Social Security through the Social Security Treasury (TSS).
According to Articles 64, 144, and 202, employers are also responsible for reporting changes in the payroll by registering updates.
Reports of Pregnant Employees and Workplace Accidents:
Pregnant workers must be reported, along with their respective maternity leave, which corresponds to a payment of 3 months of the worker’s contributory salary.
The employer must report workplace accidents, occupational diseases, and commuting accidents within 72 hours of the incident.
To report a workplace accident, you must:
- Complete form ATR-2, signed and stamped by the HR manager and immediate supervisor.
- Original medical certificate.
- Photocopy of the identity and electoral card of the injured worker.
